ATR 121 Intro to Machine Vision

This course covers the fundamentals of machine vision, the components that make up a machine vision system, and the various resources for locating appropriate cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment. Emphasis is placed on the use of vision software and image acquisition hardware to acquire and quantify images used in the control of automated machinery. Upon completion, students should be able to develop basic vision applications, assemble and install a machine vision system, acquire and display images using image acquisition hardware and software, and perform entry-level image processing functions to perform a controls task.
