Medical Assisting Diploma (D45400)

The Medical Assisting diploma curriculum prepares multi-skilled health care professionals qualified to perform administrative, clinical, and laboratory procedures.

Course work includes instruction in scheduling appointments, coding and processing insurance accounts, billing, collections, computer applications, assisting with examinations/treatments, and ethical/legal issues associated with patient care.

Graduates of the diploma program are encouraged to continue into the associate of science degree in Medical Assisting, with an in-depth emphasis on the clinical setting.
