Curriculum Tuition Refunds

  1. A refund shall not be made except under the following circumstances in accordance with the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges Code:
    1. A 100 percent refund shall be made if the student officially drops a course prior to the first day of the term or session during which the course begins.
    2. A 75 percent refund shall be made if the student officially drops from a course on or after the first day of the term or session and up to and including the 10 percent date for the term or session during which the course begins.
  2. A student enrolled for more than 16 credit hours will not be eligible for a refund unless the credit hours enrolled are reduced to less than 16 credit hours.
  3. This refund is limited to tuition and does not include the Student Activity Fee, Computer Use and Technology Fee, Student Malpractice Insurance, textbooks, or supplies.
  4. The Add/Drop dates for each term are published on the College’s official website.
