Adult High School (AHS) (Levels 9-12)

Adult High School (AHS) is an additional approach to secondary education that provides an opportunity for students to complete their Adult High School Diploma. The AHS Program is a cooperative effort between Cleveland Community College and the local school system providing a tuition-free, mastery learning approach that allows for flexible scheduling to meet the individual needs of students. The program is available to students who achieve 9.0 on the basic skills placement assessment.

In order to meet program requirements, students must complete a total of 22 units with a passing grade on each unit. Units earned in the public high school may transfer and count toward the completion of the 22-unit requirement for graduation.

Students must successfully complete the following requirements in order to graduate:

English 4 units
Social Studies 4 units
Career Readiness Test
Mathematics 4 units
Science 3 units
Electives 7 units

Upon completion of the Adult High School Program, graduates may apply for admission to the college or seek other career options.
