NC Boost
The North Carolina Community Colleges Boost Program serves students at Cleveland Community College and other participating colleges across the state. The program offers comprehensive support designed to accelerate student progress, including dedicated advising, structured incentives, financial assistance that may reduce or eliminate tuition and other educational expenses, as well as access to tutoring and academic resources. Participants receive one-on-one advising to support timely graduation, preparation for high-wage, high-demand careers, or transfer to a four-year institution.
The North Carolina Community Colleges Boost Program is a collaborative partnership among the State of North Carolina, the North Carolina Community Colleges System (NCCCS), participating colleges, and students. This program supports student success while strengthening local communities and workforce development.
To be eligible, students must be a North Carolina resident eligible for in-state tuition as determined by the North Carolina Residency Determination Service, hold a high school or high school equivalency diploma upon entry, receive the Federal Pell Grant and/or the Next NC Scholarship, have earned no more than twenty-four program-applicable credit hours, enroll in an eligible degree program, and attempt at least twenty-four credit hours per academic year.
