Small Business Center (SBC)

The Small Business Center of Cleveland Community College provides workshops, seminars, counseling, information and referral services for prospective entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs and small business owners and operators in Cleveland County. The Center’s objectives are:

  • To provide accessible and flexible training programs for entrepreneurs and small business owners including work-shops, seminars, and continuing education courses.
  • To provide a resource center of print and non-print reference materials for use by entrepreneurs and small business owners and employees.
  • To offer special assistance to small business owners and would-be owners via a network of referral services to the Chamber of Commerce, banks, the Small Business Administration, and other agencies such as the Department of Commerce.
  • To offer consultative services on a direct one-to-one basis.

A variety of seminars are presented including How To Start A Small Business, How To Write A Business Plan, Small Business Recordkeeping and Taxes, Financing Your Small Business, and Advertising and Marketing Your Small Business, just to list a few.
