ISC 132 Mfg Quality Control
This course introduces quality concepts and techniques used in industry. Topics include elementary statistics and probability, process control, process capability, and quality improvement tools. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate an under-standing of the concepts and principles of quality and apply them to the work environment. Emphasis is given to the development and use of control charts and operation involvement in achieving quality excellence. Additional emphasis on manufacturing concepts such as value added; productivity and its effect on quality; blueprint reading; people problems that affect quality and quality standards and governing bodies.
